The main reason why the archon is superior to the other carriers is simply because it has no fitting issues and very very very good cap in comparison to the other ships. Try getting decent cap on a triage chimera, lol.

If you only have 1bil isk, it would probably be easier for you just to make the next 10bil doing PVE. 10bil isn't hard to get at all in 0.0 even with a moderate amount of work. Go solo some DED sites in a tengu.
